Recommend you head up Hwy 108 across Sonora Pass. You will find a variety
of very dark sites at 8000-9600 feet in the Toyabe NF shared with USMC but
they won't be out on the weekend. You can camp anywhere in the NF, which is
a bonus.
I've posted the locations a few weeks ago.
