Herr Vagner, a person of your experience probably already knows the
correct response to this innocent-sounding question -- are you just
trying to "seed" a conversation?. OK the moon is waxing gibbous and
TAC traffic is lulling ... it's topic as good as any.

When I'm doing Public OutReach^h^h^h^h^hOutGroping, a factoid I often
quote is: "more than 50% of stars are members of a binary or
multiple-star system".

This is subtly different than something like, "half of all stars are double".
