All-

Many thanks to Ken Frank and  Rob Hawley for representing FPOA in the legislative hearing on state parks closures yesterday.  They report that both audience and commission were sympathetic to the statewide issue.

Here is an update on the situation from the San Jose Mercury News, which indicates that the closure list is being pared back and the decision is being further delayed:  http://www.mercurynews.com/topstories/ci_13396160?nclick_check=1   Nevertheless, Fremont Peak remains at risk because the Department of Parks and Recreation's prioritization metric is still revenue per visitor instead of community service value per dollar.
