So if the Shuttle was ten degrees in front of the ISS, how many miles is that?

I just measured my hand as I used it as a distance gauge (4.5") and the distance from eye to outstretched hand (25") and google tells me "atan(4.5/25) in degrees" == 10.2 degrees.
