Yes, I have. The water's quite cool, even in August. It
also tends to get cold a few feet below the surface as you
head out to deeper water. Other than that, it's a pretty
good swimming lake (plus a great relief from 120 degree
heat), though be careful of sharp plants and rocks on the
bottom in some of the coves and inlets.
