Re: Ranger Derek on those floods next to the SW lot

I, for one, would be happy to pitch in on a fence building effort if that's what it takes to get this situation rectified quickly and at reduced cost to the Park. If they (the Park) supplied the raw materials, I'd be happy to assist in digging holes and hammering nails. I sorta doubt they'd go it, but if anyone sees fit to pitch it to them, I bet there's a few TACos that would be game. We could knock out a fence in no time! Maybe Ranger Derek would be a good liaison to approach?

And then we can invite the water treatment guy out for an observing session! We'd have him hooked then, for sure!

This would also be a great opportunity to send a message on how important a dark sky resource this place and others like it are to us.

Hey TACos,

Derek Davis wrote me back. Clearly he's looking toward a solution. Looks
less grim with the prospect of a fence alleviating the need for the lights.
Much as with Coyote, we might well have a happy ending but now can only wait
and see.
Anyways to answer your question about the SW lot, The SW lot is not closed
