The City of San Jose contacted the SJAA asking if amateur astronomers
were interested in supporting its Community Camp-out at the Camden
Community Center. There is no fee for amateur astronomers, but a $20
fee for others to attend. This is the first year for the event, and at
this time there are only 50 attendees registered, but more are
expected. I've asked about vehicle access, and it will be no problem.
I don't know about lights in the area, but the moon will be big and
bright (good target), and Jupiter will be rising.

if you can support this event, so he knows how many telescopes will be
there. It sounds like a fine event. We became aware of this as a
result of the SJAA's relationship with the City of San Jose!
Thanks,
Mark
