First of all, a big thank you to the Albaugh's and all the GSSP crew.
As always, it was a real pleasure and honor to help out a bit this
year. GSSP is a very special event, and the relative fun with which it
is pulled off every year is a testament to the skill and attitude of
the senior members of the organizing committee. Namaste.
This year's event will probably be known in future years as 'the storm
year', and for good reason. The storm was pretty spectacular, and was
the kind of event that bonds. But it was followed up by just as
spectacular nights.
As usual, the days were filled with great, sometimes deep, sometimes
just fun conversations with old friends I too rarely see, and new
friends I hope to see more of. Thank you all for sharing a bit of your
lives with me.
It was a pleasure doing my imaging talk again. Next year (audience
willing) perhaps I'll do a more advance session (instead or as well).
My actual imaging went OK. I'd say an 8 out of 10 for me, primarily
due to the inevitable equipment problems that crop up (including this
year my managing to break my auto-guider 3 hours before the first
imaging night. Thank goodness we have enough vendors on site that I
was able to purchase a replacement and save the weekend!)
I'll post the images on my web site as they get some processing. And
I'll let the list know when there are significant updates. They can be
found at:

Only one there so far, but if it's an indication of overall quality of
photon and pixels, it should be a good crop this year.
