The Telegraph Fire at Plettstone

The star party at Plettstone this weekend has officially been cancelled.

The Telegraph Fire, which started just over our hill to the east is
still very active. Bear Valley is on notification for evacuation. We
need to be ready to get out within an hour of final notification.
Although I see little chance of that happening, we are still vigilant.
 Smoke continues to clog the air and we have over 3500 firefighters in
the area with more arriving every hour.

We can't see too well what is going on but the fire is still raging to
the east and north of us. Coulterville, north and west of us, has
also been given evacuation notice.

The tanker aircraft are buzzing the place every few minutes as they
dump their loads just east and north of us. We are somewhat concerned
that the fire could come up the valley from the north now.
