Another neat TAC picture of the day.

Again, TAC picture of the day sent me into my log book:-) Astrophotographers
rule! Turns out NGC 7449 is on my favorites list and is a big stepping stone
object in my history with this hobby.

>From my Sky tools log:

NGC 7449

Fav, what a beaut! A bright bar with a recurved arm at one end. The bar
extends N-S and has a visible curved arm extending back N from the S tip on
the W side of the bar. The N tip of the bar just starts to "warp" N-E.
15" f5-TeleVue Nagler Type 6 9mm, 210x

Personal historical side note and epiphany:
Steve Gottlieb suggested this object at LS and we both had a look through
our respective scopes. While looking at this object Steve helped me to
understand direction and learn to write a description! "the direction that
an objects drifts from the f.o.v. is West, 90 degrees c-c.w. of that
location is N" :-) Through Steve's 18, the galaxy was a tad brighter and a
bit more of the E arm was visible -great view.
