If you go observe on Fri. night, the moon will rise at 12:12am (Sat)
By 2am it will be at 19º alt. Not bad.

If you go observe on Sat. night, the moon will rise at 12:53am (Sun)
By 2am it will be at only 10º alt. Pretty good.

On Sunday night it rises at 1:42am (Mon), by 2am is at 2º, and by 3am it
will be @ 12º. Observing cycle is kind of "official" by now.
