At 7% that means it is graded for vehicle traffic. Perhaps the former lunar Department of Rupes was going to build a freeway system. :)

Actually, good info. Here's what my old Rukl says about the Straight Wall:
"Length 110 km, height 240-300m, apparent width about 2.5 km; it is not
a steep slope, as was believed in the past, but a rather moderate slope
of gradient about 7 percent (1:9)."
It is one of my favorite lunar features, along with the crater chain in
Clavius, Schroter's Valley, Rimae Gassendi, and the Rimae Triesnecker (a
partial list).
