Fun above the fog

Thanks for cool picture of a valley fog night from skyline. A good
group had much fun last night (Saturday) on another valley fog night
at Montebello. Scopes ranging from 105, 115, 128 mm Apo refractors
to 4.5, 10 inch, 12.5 and 13.3 inch reflectors. Skies at least a
half mag darker than usual because of the fog covering the valley.
Great low power sweeps, high power detail, multiple planets, a
beautiful transit of Jupiter's great red spot, lots of good
conversation and comparison views of galaxies, globs, and nebula in
different apertures, plus spectra of bright stars, and some century
old stupid sky tricks from the Herschel Memorial Quaker Oats can.
