Some get comfort from reliable, repeatable and accurate astronomical
observations.
To bring this back to astronomy: The issue was an observation of IC
429 by Steve Waldee. IC 429 is 2' from a wide mag 13 double. This
fact, with his description of the distance as 3', cast doubt on the
rest of his description. A 1' error when describing objects on the
scale of 10" is enormous.
