Heres a good link with lots of photos. What is interesting is that
there is no mention of the runway, although they have photos of signs
denoting that some of the trails near where the runway is are closed.
What is interesting to me is how big the area is, how beautiful it is,
and that there are many campsites. My guess is that the presence of off
road vehicles deters the backpacker types, and there's not that many
off road vehicle types that go here relative to other spots, as this is
not a populated part of the world. I think there are people out here
all the time, but not a massive crowd. The photos make it look much
nicer than google earth does. I think the runway is not as important as
the space and horizons of it. There's shade here, and lakes. Pretty
interesting spot. Not as desolate as it first looked.
