That's what I have done for several years now. It works fine as long as you
are comfortable leaving equipment on the field, or carrying it all the way to
your vehicle. I left my CCD camera and 6" APO there on Friday night and had a
nightmare that the refractor had been stolen. But I support this restriction.
It seems reasonable to me.
