These squarish bottles work great. I tried this for the first time
for Lassen this year. I didn't need ice until the 3rd day. I was
astonished. Usually my block ice only lasts one day. Plus when the
water thaws you can drink it. I can fit two bottles in my ice chest
upright which leaves more room than the block ice did, plus the
bottled ice lasts longer. A 3-time winner!

I remove about a cup of water before I toss them in the freezer.
