Bob made a trip to Fiddletown five years and one month ago. . . Only time our paths crossed, but it was a memorable one:

It was smooth out of the blue that Bobby Czerwinski hissef drove up
to the baseball field at Lake San Antonio last CalStar, having just
flown in from who knows where. What a treat. This is a man who hates
praise, but he's in England and points East so can't hurt me
immediately.
I've had the pleasure of observing with Czerwinski endless hours in
the dark. He's one of those folks who have the gift of knowing when
to talk and when to zip it. Excellent company, very funny man. But
without ever blowing his own horn, Bobby is one of the most
experienced, skilled observers anywhere. A monster. He owns
Triangulum and Ursa Major down to around 15th magnitude. Brains
coming out of his ears.
This information has been suppressed on TAC for years. Now the TAC
Awards Czar officially presents Bobby Cee with the Eminent Observer
Award. From 5000 miles away, certainly.
Cheers, big grins,
