There's also a joke to that effect involving grafts from the trunks
of baby elephants who died of natural causes, but it's not
appropriate for this family-oriented list.

Vincent, you've gotten real good advice. Most of all, like with
eyepieces but with bigger stakes, go mooch views and see what you
like, up close and personal, before you buy. Money status and
aperture status are much less important than portability and what you
see thru that focuser.
