Rod Molisse (I think...) has an excellent online PDF book (about 100 pages) on
the history of Celestron and Meade cat's. I don't remember saying they had bad
optics - actually they were far more "hand built" and some had some extra
features like collimatable primaries, and 3-screw primary focusing systems.
Probably a nice scope.
