We had a great day (and for me also a night) in the Libyian desert south of Tobruk. Clear skies, cool temps, little wind, and, oh yeah, a total eclipse.
A camp was set up in the desert about 2 kilometers from the main road. More than 2000 eclipse chasers were bused in there from both our ship and other groups. Easily the largest eclipse group that I have ever been with.
We have heard that most of the other land sites were also successful. Not sure about ships at see.
I have more than 80 photos of totality. I will post these once I return to the states.
