G'day mates,

There's a big cloud parked over us at the moment. Got a few mm's of rain last night and today - time for some welcomed sleep and a little image processing.

Here's a hack at a very busy region outside the galaxy. I've posted it easily enough to the Anacortes gallery for quick viewing. http://www.buytelescopes.com/gallery/view_photo.asp?pid=8530

The LMC is very unlike our Milky Way. It's a low density galaxy with lots of interstellar star stuff that reacts nicely to the great solar winds of super massive stars and clusters. This is why you see lots of bubbles and nebular shells. About the closest thing in the Milky Way resembling a big bubble on the same scale as these nebulae is Barnard's Loop in Orion.

Hope you enjoy the image.

Cheers,

DVJ
