I wonder what sort of earthquake magnitude would cause a problem with tracking (while imaging) at, say, 1200mm FL? Maybe we should plan on stackin' a lot of short exposures and throwing out the quakey ones.
I was up on FP one night about two years ago shooting images when a 3.5 hit right in San Juan Bautista (close by).
it definitely spoiled my image. I wish I'd have saved it for fun.
I forgot whether I had to realign the mount....
