The TAC sites page <http://observers.org/sites/ > currently lists 17
usable observing sites. Of those, 7 are listed as "open to the public" at
least some of the time.

I suspect that there are more good observing sites that could be added to
this list, but I don't know about them. Some sites not on our list are
mentioned in observing reports and other e-mail exchanges. Some of them,
such as IHOP, have been reported to me but not with sufficient detail to
post to the sites list.

I welcome submissions of observing site information to further build our
sites page as a resource for active Bay-Area observers. Here's the
information I need to do that:
_____
Site Name: This is the short site name that will be seen in most listings.

Description: A short text description of the site, for example, the full
name as opposed to the common name. Limited to one line.

Detailed Info URL: A URL to a page containing more detailed information
about this observing site. Must be in proper URL form, such as <
http://observers.org/sites/SAP/ >. It's good enough for you to supply the
content for such a page in an e-mail to webmaster(at)observers.org.

Nearby City: The name of a town or city large enough to have its own
NOAA/NWS weather forecast.

Surface Type: The surface-type of the observing area (paved, gravel,
grass, dirt, etc.).

GPS Data: Latitude, Longitude, Elevation (ft) The GPS coordinates of the
observing site. Example: N37 52.375, W121 16.525, 1234

Road Map URL: The URL to a road map -- typically from something like Yahoo
or MapQuest.

Topo Map URL: The URL to a topographic map, typically from <
http://www.topozone.com/ >.

Site Owner or Authority: The name of the site owner or management
authority. For example: City of San Jose.

TAC Site Liaison: The TAC member who maintains our relationship with this
site, or at least keeps us updated on news about it.

Site Use Policy: One sentence describing the conditions or policy imposed
on use of the site for astronomy.
