I suggest TAC and other astronomy groups write a nice looking, easy to
read quarterly page about public outreach and other things amater astronomers
do and send the page to a few dozen or more political types. You could start with
the Gov-a-nator.
Why? It doesn't hurt to have low level public officials know that a group they
are dealing with is also known to high level public officials.
