OK, made me look. The Celestron models seem to be "Mass Storage" which
means they emulate a usb hard disk. Mac OSX should not have a problem
with this.

The Meade model uses an SD card. That is a standard card and you would
need a card reader with drivers for your mac but should work just fine.

Meade claims you cannot directly download to a mac with their unit but if
it is mass storage, you should be able to. They claim no driver required
for Windows so I find it hard to believe that the standard mass storage
drivers wouldnt work on Mac OSX. However, it is a moot point since an SD
card reader solves the problem (and they are cheap).
