Oh.. I see. There are some binos these days, that have
an integrated digital camera. usually, they are small sized,
e.g. 8x30 or so, and have a small digital camera (fixed focus)
positioned between the objectives. (I beleive the camera is
telephoto.)
Meade has a product that is carried at the Discovery store
(and likely other similar outlets).
http://www.meade.com/captureview/captureview.html
(Turns out also celestron, bushnell, simmons, etc carry similar
products... its a whole segment of the market... Here's the
amazon page for "binocular cameras"
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/browse/-/3168111/ref=br_dp__4/103-5376548-6879065
)
I've not looked into them
personally; if I were to do daytime terrestial images, I
would probably just add a telephoto to the camera.
_and_ carry binos has needed.
So, I think the target audience for these products is someone
that uses the binos, but occasionally takes a picture, and
is not overly concerned with the quality of the image.
I know not which of the above products support Macs..
My guess is that with OS X, iphoto should support the
camera, but thats just a guest.
