Generally there isn't a smell problem at Montebello. One of our most
knowlegeable local observers routinely sets up right next to the bathroom, I
think because he thinks the seeing is best there. When it does smell,
generally on very still nights, it tends to drift south. Occasionally it
will pervade the eastern end of the parking lot In five or six years of
going up there at leat once per lunation I'd say this was a problem maybe
three or four times.

OK, but I maintain that is a rare event. It is hard to get within 15 to
20 feet and set up. The majority set up across the driveway and that is a
good 40 feet to the nearest spot.
