Alvin,

I believe it is NGC 7230 which is the nearby member of the Quintet. I
wrote a sidebar on observing Stephan's Quintet for the next issue of
S&T (November) which is part of a feature article on the evolution of
the Quintet (and compact groups). The draft of the article is very
interesting, so stay tuned...
