I actually argued with Chris against doing this. I never ever had a problem
with Access (and the Jet DB engine). I always thought it was a great feature
to be able to play with my observations in ANY program that support
JET/Access or OBDC. Plus I could export them in any way Access supported as
well as dynamically embedding records in other documents.
Along with the combining of all the DSO databases into one huge monlithic DSO
database, I thought this DB change a major folly. And SMP is still my
favorite charting program. I have been using it since version 5. But I still
enter all my logs into version 8 then export them to 10. Don't know if I'll
get 11...
