Just thumbing through the December S&T and I noticed Sue French's deep-sky
wonders article called Unsung Star Clusters. The clusters are along the
Cassiopeia - Cepheus border. There's a good image of a group, or chain of
clusters Richard Navarrete and I had fun going through - NGC 7790, NGC
7788, Frolov 1, Harvard 21 and King 12 - while at CalStar earlier this
month. We were using 18" Obsessions, but I expect they can be observed
easily in smaller aperture - Sue used a 4.1" refractor. These clusters
are a fun little hop with varied appearances.
