snogging as a way of life

Been way busy all morning, just sat down to look at the online mail.
Now I have a vivid image to carry around in my head of the Messier
Monster and da Deepsky Weasel severally snogging all over the Peak,
rangers or no rangers. Thanks a lot, guys, just what I need trying to
be professional at a middle school two days before Hallowe'en.

Quickly said, if I want to go to the Peak at or after sunset, I've
been asked repeatedly to e-mail the rangers at least a day ahead. I'd
have no idea of heading up there toward or after sunset without at
least binocs, never have in 6 years of observing. We all know the
regs, or certainly should by now.

What I also think is that this is not a political philosophy list.
232 people get TAC in their e-mail, and something like 100 folks
regularly read the archives, by count of 'admit' addresses. This is
an observing list.

Wags hissef, the founder of TAC, just went -
Looks like the discussion has taken a turn off the astronomical highway to me!

And now that Mark's had his fun, this being the 50th note on this
thread, maybe we can get back to this being The Astronomy Connection.
Who, I say who, after all, are the adults here? <G>
