Mark, empathy is one thing, but when you get a bunch of know-it-all yahoos
exploring da woods and partying on the edge of a cliff, well, I think the
Darwin Awards are quite appropriate ;-)
But seriously, unfortunately, people who are not prepared for the wilds but
think they know everything are the ones that cost the taxpayers the most;
and I would gather that 90% of them don't learn from their folly - they go
out and do the same again because they have this mindset "that there are
resouces to save me" I think that is what we're up against really, the
stupid fools in this world who think that they can do anything without
impunity...they have no clue about personal responsibility. The few (or
many) bad apples spoil the resources that we pay for.
