It's not fear, uncertainty, and doubt about the green lasers that bug me about them.
Most of us go out to dark sky sites to get away from annoying and view-degrading lights.
One guy on a mountaintop with a green laser using it to point things out to a group is fine.
Multiple green laser users pointing them all over the sky is a laser show...and annoying as hell.
Maybe everyone needs to be reminded of the meaning of "dark sky site"?
We endlessly debate the best red covers for laptops, red LED flashlights, etc. because we
want to KEEP THINGS DARK when out with the group. We drive hours and hours to
find those dark sites, and we cherish them and fight for them.
How does green lines flitting around the sky fit in with that philosophy?
