Alas! Ben and Rebecca sold a lot of their old toys to drum up money to buy cool astro stuff at the SJAA auction. But now they're going to miss it this Sunday...
Turns out Ben will be receiving an award the same day and time at Great America for his exhibit on collimation techniques, "The Perfect Eye", presented at the Synopsys Science Fair held two weeks ago at the San Jose Convention Center. Rebecca assisted him in locating all the doubles he split in a discussion of Dawes Limit using her C5. Ben used his huge 6-inch homebuilt with his newly aluminized mirrors as the test telescope.
For those SJAA and TAC folks who know Ben but didn't get a chance to see his exhibit, you can relive the science fair experience (Quicktime 6 or better) at:

I hope there's another swap / auction later this year, but they'll probably have spent all their money by then. :-)
Lynne.
