Thanks Bob. One important correction. I kept logging objects till
4:45 am, not 3:45 am. That last hour was critical for lots of the
objects near the end of the Messier marathon.
The sky was just starting to get light in the east when I decided I
couldn't wait any longer to try to catch M30. I then hurriedly
packed up the car, left Coe about 5 am, was back in Palo Alto shortly
after 6 am, spent 20 minutes putting away both telescopes and quickly
packing a suitcase, and made it to the San Francisco airport by about
7 am for my 8 am flight to New York.
No trouble sleeping on the flight!
