A couple of quick clarifications...

Bill makes a valid point about the need for a reliable adapter to hold the
Narrowband Element in front of the objective. Sure, it's fun (and cheaper)
for me to kludge something together, but I can see why Coronado would
cringe a little at the thought, since there is after all, the issue of
safety. If the narrowband element somehow fell off the OTA, I would imagine
that at the very least, the blocking filter would get fried, and there
might be a possibility of eye injury. Hey, I just realized something...
remember when adults would tell you "it's all fun and games until someone
puts an eye out"? Check it out - this is a case where that's LITERALLY
TRUE! Wow... kinda spooky...

(Coronado could use that in their catalog copy... maybe have a cartoon
figure, kinda like the teacher from Calvin and Hobbes.)

Oh, and I may have given the impression that there isn't much to see unless
there's a big sunspot group visible on the disc or right on the limb. Not
quite true. Giant Sunspot 652 has gone over the limb, but it was still
Prominence City today. Granted, they might have been arising from 652, kind
of like when the fireballs from Shoemaker-Levy 9 were visible over the limb
of Jupiter, but still. Give ol' Sol a check (properly filtered), never know
what you might see.
