You may know of the yahoo group that has specialized in "digicam
astrophotography".
Their monthly challenge website is http://velatron.com/dca/challenge/
Many of the users have been using the 10D and 300D.
I think that it's a good example of what can be done with a variety of
scopes.
I don't have one of these DSLRs yet...
