Yep. Same sensor, electronics, processor, everything is identical except what Joe mentions.
And the latest hacked OS doesn't just minimize differences in software, it IS the 10D
software (there are just a few bytes in the OS that turn off certain 10D functions).
You can re-flash the old OS anytime, flashing is just a process of copying the new OS
to a CF card with a certain name, then turning the camera on and it takes care of it
all by itself :)

Noise and dark current really aren't that bad. They do, of course, increase at higher ISO values,
so it's a trade-off between lower ISOs and dark noise. But, like any other electronic astro
imaging, you can shoot more lower-ISO frames and combine them digitally later, and get very
good results.
