> I think we may specifically ban them at Shingletown.
Not to pile on, but I thought I would share my experience with green lasers from SSP 2003. Last year some vendor was selling green lasers at the public night. This vendor and their customers were finding it quite amusing to point the lasers at people in the crowd. I became quite concerned with the risk to myself and my family with all these lasers being waved around. So for me, the issue is more one of safety than light pollution. Lasers are useful tools in the hands of people who appreciate the risk of permanent eye damage that they pose and exercise caution in their use. In the hands of bored teenagers they are downright dangerous.
