if you still don't have a home for it. I'll have to haul it in her

About the scope. Here's what's going on.
After getting home I just had to work on it. I sanded down the tube and
repainted it white. It thinks it's a reflector. There's a spider in it.
I'll be moving him out soon. The mount tracks pretty good once I
tighten up the hardware. I'll be looking for a dew shield and a finder
for it. Any body out there have any of their on the market. Otherwise
I'll be checking out Scope city or another vendor. I might end up
getting a new tube for it. The tube is 55 inches long and I can get
focus on the moon and stars only by running the focuser out full travel
and pulling the eyepiece out another 1/2 inch. Barlow needs a full
inch. Looks like a 58 inch tube will fix that. Optics are good. I'll be
drilling and taping the optics and focuser to tighten everything up.
Anybody else out there have a telescope needing some TLC? I forgot how
I love working on them. Buy the parts and I'll do the labor. Dang this
is fun. Oh, I'm on the market for so counter weights with a 1.25 inch
mounting hole. Just have to figure how much the tube assembly weights.
