Last night I tried out my 10nm H-alpha filter with the STL11000M and my AP
Traveler with field flattener. I acquired 5 x 30-minute images with
ACP3+Maxim then used my Sigma program to combine them.
Unfortunately I was asleep and the unseasonably warm weather we are having
caused the camera temperature to rise above what I had set it to. Luckily I
had dithered the images so that partially compensated for the mismatched
dark frames when I combined them with Sigma. Some "dark holes" are still
visible.
I'm planning to try this object again soon and in fact I plan to do a mosaic
of this area. The big sensor is really going to simplify having to put
together many smaller frames when making a mosaic.
