Dan,
Thanks for posting the photos. Unfortunatly I took a right turn to San Juan Bautista and ended up at Fremont Peak Saturday.
Nice looking set of instruments at CalStar. How many people were there?

Here are some snapshots from 2003 CalStar:

This event will go down in history -- we'll talk about it as we sit rocking on
the porch of our old astronomer's home: "Remember CalStar 2003?"
Everyone will nod and say "Yup", and re-tell their favorite story (by that time
somewhat embellished), about anti-solar points, raccoons, single malt, naked
eye Uranus, Saturn at high mag, walking the Veil, perfect weather, best
friends, etc.
I've been doing this for only 2.5 years. 2003 CalStar was the most enjoyable
astro experience I've had -- I don't know how it's going to be topped! There
are still many years to come, though ...
