Well..it's all kinda ad hoc.
Some folks don't look at the OI calendar, but instead
just monitor emails.
Others read the TAC list online from the observsers.org, and don't
monitor emails. So...the OI is more convenient. This option
is getting more popular, due to the high TAC message volume.
I switched to this.
I try to do both, but admit I forget sometimes, either way.
If there is a PERMIT issue involved however, then for sure
the OI goes on the OI and TAC. At least that what permit
holders are asked to do.
This is the way it has evolved, and seems pretty ok to me.
