Wow, right on. The seeing is pretty darn good here in
Cupertino...maybe not excellent, but very good...one of the best nights
so far. And I'm very comfortable in shorts and shirt sleeves.
I'm using over 500X and an Orange filter on Mars and seeing much the
same things that Mark is reporting. A big dark forked E/W feature
dominates, with other stuff less prominent, and SM just coming around
the corner. My new platform is working pretty well...helping a lot at
these high powers.
Back to the eyepiece...
