I like your idea but I think the FPOA is trying to get away from
having to clean the bathrooms. Unless they were locked much
of the time it would require someone to clean them virtually
every day. If the FPOA had enough cash flow they could hire
a service to clean the restrooms.
If the FPOA wanted a gift shop and or a snack bar, coffee bar, etc.
they might be able to lease out those facilities to another company.
However, Ron D. thought there might be something in the FPOA's
contract with the state that would not let the FPOA make leases
with other entities.
We need to know what the state will allow the FPOA to do at the Peak.
We also need to know what the FPOA is willing to take on when it
comes to managing some business at the Peak.
The only thing I hear from the FPOA is that they can't charge the public
to look through the 30" Challenger telescope per the owner of the
Challenger. I have yet to hear the FPOA (a few FPOA board members)
take an interest making money by selling other services or products. Maybe
that is because of limitations by the state. But, if that is true why is
the state
changing the FPOAs contract to call them a consession?
