Hi all - I know some of us really like the peace and quiet while
observing, so I thought I'd ask before taking a $500 leap. What is
everyone's feelings on using a small generator to power the scope and
accessories? What I'm talking about is the Honda EU1000i, a VERY quiet
generator that, to my mind, would be a much more efficient (though more
expensive!) way of getting power where there is none. If any of you
camp, you may have seen/heard one of these. I'd like to bring one the
next time I go observing with some of you to get some feedback, but if
the response from the group is overwhelmingly negative, I'll shelve the
idea. Responses are welcomed off-list.
