    True. I don't know about Nova, but Swayze, Zambuto and Hall (Pegasus)
    achieved their status by making consistently fine mirrors, and
    guaranteeing them. So, their reputation is not hollow.

    The cult following these guys have is due to their good mirrors, and
    also due to the fact that they have a cult following. Although the
    cultists sometimes make extravagant or nonsensical claims, this is no
    reflection on the mirrors or their makers.

    I'm glad to hear that. I have a 10" Orion dob that was made in 1995. I
    don't know who made mirror, but the company that made the rest of the
    OTA later became Discovery. The mirror is a dog, and is not capable of
    greater than about 17x per inch before the image starts just getting
    fuzzier without revealing more detail.

    Compare that with a fine mirror, which should deliver at least 50x per inch.
