This is a weird one to me.
Once in a while it seems that we all "discover" something where others have
overlooked it.
For me that happened on Saturday night.
I was imaging in the backyard; enjoying the first clear night I had seen in
what seemed an eternity. I had been battling dew, and was only partially
victorious when I saw something on the screen that really struck me as odd
and
amusing.
Call it a Rorschach Pattern, call it something else. For me if IC2162 was
called The George Washington Nebula, it would be named at least as
descriptively as The Pelican Nebula.
This is not one of my better shots from a technical execution perspective,
but
the bizarre appearance of Geo W (not the current President but the first one
to hold that title) made me feel compelled to post it on my website and to
notify you folks of its appearance.
