I just received Apogees 25x100 Big binocular, ordered it back in October. After opening the package, WOW!!!!, it's HUGE!!!! Cost:$295+shp-WOW It's CHEAP!!!!
Very impressive looking bino, no plastic on this puppy, all metal construction, except the eyeguard is rubber. I think, even Zeise can't do better than that. Putting it on the scale, measures 9 lb. It came with a very nice soft carry case, which also can be carried as a back pack.
Quickly mount it on my shaky camera tripod and looking through my patio window, aimed it to the nearby carwash windows alarm sticker (maybe 200 yards away), my regular target. I can read it, except the fine print, this thing is bright. First time I'm looking through a 100mm bino, very impressive. I can wait for the weather to clear and star test it, also to cruse the sky with it.
